Check Engine light / Code set
Hi, Can anyone offer an opinion where this problem lies? I keep getting a PO171 - system too lean (bank 1) and a PO174 - system too lean (bank 2). My ball joint mechanic has some theories but we would like to attack the problem rather than throw parts. Thanks!

Opinions are no different than throwing parts at the car, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, injectors, O2 sensors, PCM, vacuum leak........??
What you need is a Factory Service Manual and the tools to do basic trouble shooting (fuel pressure gauge, DVOM etc.) using the flow chart for the code in question, everything else is guessing.
