PROJECT CHOP TOP C-4 , I will use this as a on going title . Was going to make C-6 looking bumper covers for C-4 . Goal now is 3 inches ground clearance ,40 inches total heigth 5.5 inch chop top ,all new body , true lambo doors . side pipes , no air cond. no heater. no radio. nothing on fire wall. no ABS, no interior . Car was 650 LBS. lighter befor the saw - zaw went wild . It all got started when a fuse kept burning out on the tail lights. CRAIG C. 8-08
To each his own, but I think you're ruining a perfectly good Vette. Even if a fuse keeps burning out....you don't need to hack the car up. Just my opinion.

Hell, why not? Just make sure you do a professional job on it. I would skip on the bumpers, lambo doors, and any big wings. A low chop top C4 with nice rims could be interesting. It's all on how it's done. It could come out looking like a fine custom or a ghetto piece of ****. IMO. Post pics.
My guess is that you're going to see a certain Forum member selling parts here very soon. No comments on the concept (I'll keep those to myself) but if it's a custom-made car that he's wanting to build, why not just buy a wrecked C4 for the suspension and driveline and custom fabricate the body from scratch. That I could see doing... but wrecking an otherwise complete car to build this "vision"... I just don't get it. Oh well, to each his own... I guess one way of looking at this is that it's just increasing the desirability of an unmolested C4 as well as increasing the supply of used repair parts. Good luck.
