89 alternator
on the 89 alternator, that thin striped wire, what is that for ?
there is the thick wire that runs directly to the battery. there is another thick one in the connector, and then the brown, white striped wire also in the connector. is that always hot ?
what exactly is that for ?
I need a 12v source that turns off with the key, and I'm thinking about tapping into that thin wire....

On my '88:
1) thick single wire: Red==power from alt to batt
2) three wire connector:
---Red==power from batt to alt
---DkBlu==power from C.FanFuse to regulator (hot in run)
---Brn==power from GaugesFuse to regulator (hot in run)
