Hey lads,

Read my PCM for first time last night. I wanted to look at the program and get used to it before I put the blower on next month. It's all looking pretty Greek so far. Is there a section of the program where you read codes? I couldn't find it. Is the "PCM constants" table where you make your settings and are the tables mostly the data logging of system. Or are you changing the values in the tables to change the constants...As you've guessed I'm totally confused. I've read through all the basic acronyms and I understand basically what all the sensors are doing in Fuel injection system but maybe someone could post me some links of necessary/helpful reading material to help me wrap my brain around what I'm looking at.

Thanks Eric

Tuner Cat does not scan. Try Tuner Pro RT.

That link didn't work...

So I checked out tuner pro.. looks like what I need. but there's no place to ask questions on the tunerpro site.

Just so I'm clear;

Tunerpro will act like a handheld scanner and thus enabling me to watch the various engine actions while it's running?

Then I'll use tuner cat to re flash PCM to make necessary adjustments while the egine is off?

Do I need to import the ECM Definition file from Tunercat to Tunerpro to be able to use the program?

Here is the link for the def files for tuner pro. If you want to make live changes to your computer, use TunerPro RT. You will need a chip emulator if you have a chip computer. You don't need both programs, just TunerPro RT. http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/downloadBinDefs.htm

Thanks, I tried the link but there's no definition file for 94 LT1 there's just 92-93. I couldn't get the def file from tunercat to transfer over to tuner pro... I've e-mailed tuner cat to see if they can help. I'm gonna see what LT1 edit has going on. I read somewhere that I can't tune in RT because I have a PCM and not an ECM, so I have to datalog and then re-flash the PCM with the engine off, that's why I had to buy Tunercat, I thought that the program had everything I needed but it looks like it's just part of what I need *sigh*

FYI tunercats MAP tables only go up to 100kpa, so if you run a boost application those tables aren't much good to you.
