Does your Corsa exhaust have a ticking sound like a valve? I know it has some sort of flow valve on the outer tip of each mmuffler, but should I be able to hear it? :(
It definitely shouldn't be ticking. There's actually not a mechanical valve in the mullfers; it's a special chamber design (can't remember what they call it). No moving parts. It's quite possible there's a small piece of metal (bolt, etc) inside one of the mufflers. Otherwise, I suppose it's possible there's a broken weld in one of the mufflers causing a baffle to rattle, but I've never heard of a quality problem like that from Corsa.
It definitely makes a rattling noise on occasion especially at part throttle. I didn't think Corsa intended for it to do this. My B&B never made a sound like this. I will contact them to see what they say.
Ticking with exhaust systems usually means exhaust leak...or part of the system is rubbing on something. The area under the rear centersection can be very tight.
I have adjusted it two times and it still has some leaking, so I guess it will need to be welded. Would regular exhaust clamps on the end of the joints seal it up as these band clamps don't seem to do the job? I never had this problem with B&B. :bs

Why did you switch to the Corsa? Why don't you go back to the B&B? Are you doing the work on the exhaust or are you having someone else do it? You have had a problem with your exhaust for quite a while now. I'm sure that if you talk to the guys at Corsa they would take it back. The people at Corsa are top notch.

Re: Corsa noises (SLOWBUSA)
No ticking noises from my Corsa's (a little over a year old).
Only strange noise comes under full throttle -- never have found a cause. Best description is that it's close to the sound a human makes when they hum and whistle at the same time. It seems to come and go; naturally it wasn't happening when I took a trip up to visit the Corsa factory.
A buddy riding with me (Greg00Coupe) heard it on the way up to Berea, so I know I'm not just hearing things...
I installed my Corsa exhaust last month. I have a slight "ticking" - only heard during deceleration though. It was worse, and I found that there was some leakage. I eliminated most of it by reseating the connections and really torquing the clamps. I guess I need to get it back on the jackstands and do one more round of adjustments to eliminate the last small leak. The leaks are easy to see from the blackening. Good luck.
Related sort of. I installed my Corsa with all pipes bully seated to make sure the inside pipe goes past the slots in the enlarged protions at each coupling. The result is that the bend just aft of the differential is really close to touching on both sides - about 3/16 of an inch. That means that the muffler hanger at the rear is only inside the stock rubber mounting about half way and the tips are barely an 1/8 inch past the rear plastic. I'm thinking of getting a couple of stailess coupler sections and installing one on each side in front of where the double bent pieces go so it spaces the whole thing back about 1/4 inch and gives some room by the differential. Has anyone had this experience?
Hey MJ, I am not imagining these noises as others have this problem. I switched to the Corsa because of the lack of RESONANCE  compared to the B&B. I still think the B&B makes more power, but I can't handle the resonance :U . I do the installs, and as far as torquing the clamps, I bench 540lbs so I think I have the clamps tight but they still leak. I guess I will have it welded, but my main leak is at the first pipe on the driver's side that connects to the converter pipe. I am going to try a regular exhaust u-clamp on the very end of the pipe to kill this leak. :yesnod: :p: :D
You bench 540? That's a hell of a lot more than me, so I guess those clamps must be tight. And, I know how resonance can make you crazy. After a while you just can't put up with it anymore.
Yeah the driver side convertor to Corsa flange is tough. But that's a 3 bolt ring flange right? The second fitting prior to the resonator is slip fit. Are you having a problem with the first one or the second one? When I'm trying to find an exhaust leak I always get the car on a lift. It makes it much easier to spot and feel. But in either case, if you weld the system up it will surely go away. Good luck, and sorry guy, no flames intended.
I just installed my Corsa and gave up on leaks at the clamps. They were definitely tight. Went ahead and had them welded, no problem now. Love the sound.
