engine/transmission problem??
I was wondering if anyone could help me out... I have a 91 automatic. A few days ago, I pulled out of my driveway, and couldn't get above 32 mph. It sort of felt like it wouldn't change gears. The rpm's didn't shoot up or anything though, even when I applied the gas. I had someone come get me and look at it, but when they took it for a test drive, everything was fine. Tonight, as I was leaving, the problem came back again. I pulled over, and tried restarting it a couple of times, went in reverse and nothing seemed to have worked. It still will not go over about 35 mph. The engine doesn't rev up after the 35 mph or anything, it's just like the car is shutting down/losing power. Does anyone know what might the cause of this be, or what I can start looking at?
