Default Power seats not working. Switch question

The sport seats in my '94 are not working. No clicks, no noise, no nothing. Fuses are fine. Checked the wiring, all ok.

Took the switch out and noticed the little bulb is missing and doesn't look like there was one. There appears to be a cover missing from the back of the 8 way seat switch.

Does the plug with black and orange wires that says "accessory- reference owners manual" have anything to do with this?

Also, are there relays somewhere that might be bad also?

Thanks!

I can scan the sports seat schematic for 95 if you like.

There is a 30 amp circuit breaker, that I'm sure you have checked, in the I/P fuse panel.

There's also a few relays here & there that may be part of the problem. If you would like the scans my e-mail is lsylvestri@sbcglobal.net.

The only blk/org wires I can find are integrated with the power seat switch diode?

Have you checked to see if you have power at the pump (underneath the passenger seat).

Have you checked the continuity of the switch when activated?

This is what happened to our 94. I was doing some dash work (radio/dash lights), and must have leaned on the switch for the lumbar support and guess it made contact too long and burned-out two of the circuit board metal strips, but after a little bit of solder, all fixed.

Then once the switch was fixed, the motor/pump worked at first, but then siezed. So I carefully took the pump apart and lubed it with graphite (lock lube) and then reassembled. Now works fine.

It did take a bit to understand the circuitry. I 'might' have pictures still. So if needed, let me know and I can look around...

The switch does nothing. No motor clicks, no noises, no nothing on either side. I looked underneath and thanks to Chevy for not making it a plug-n-play part...

Also, should there be a light bulb for the seat switch?

It seems the 6 way switch has corrosion and not working. I get clicks if I push the lumbar buttons on both sides. The 6 way switch is getting power because it sparked when I touched the hot wire but the plastic covers over the terminals are kinda melted.

Me thinks I need to replace this switch entirely.
