Default thinking about some longtubes, will they be worth it.

I know I like the way they sound but are they something I need or should I draw a little interest on my cash for awhile? My mods are in my sig. I was thinking either the LPE longtubes or the hookers will the emissions equiptment and then running two high flow cats and dual exhaust. My best mph out of 5 runs was 107 mph, do you think this setup could squeeze out 2 mph or so more? I won't post my ET's due to my embarrassing 60' times :(

AS84,
I would highly suggest the Hooker Long Tube's they were $468.99 from Summit. They went in with zero problems. Just had to play with one or two bolts. Now I could install them in less than 1 hr with no questions. I would assume you are running the stock manifolds. When I took mine off I about **** at how bad they fit up. I can't say for sure you will see the gains you asked about but as far as flow goes I can't see it getting nothing but better. Let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck

Don't think of the performance just by the headers alone but by the fact that headers giving you the ability to better tune you motor.
Tuning is the biggest gain.

I agree. They will let your heads and cam do what they were intended to do- breathe. You will then be getting your money's worth(much more than you think).

I've got the TPIS. They are great headers.

I have a 90 similar to yours.
355 ci, with the super ram, ZZ9 cam, AFR 190 heads, 1.6 rr. When I pass smog I put the stock exhuast manifolds/and 3 cats on it, when I am not, I have headers and true duals into borlas, no smog equipt...

The difference between the 2 feels like 75 to 100 HP! It is a total dog with the stock stuff on there. I'm sure JD 383 will say the same if he see's this post.
This is a must if you are after getting the max out of your car.

Since you have the intake you will benefit from Headers, though you may need to do a hi-flow cat-back to see the most gain. You've go mail on what to expect.
