Default Recommended crate engine for 95 LT1??

What would you suggest as a good GM Crate engine to replace my 95 LT1???
I want something that is a direct bolt in and NO OPTISPARK......
Does not need to be high performance...just a solid engine.

thanks

GM does not make a crate LTX motor. There are a few good builders out there. I'd stay away from Golen.

Unless you run the opti, nothing will be a direct bolt-in.

in texas I don't know. My guess is that it would not. because the EGR valve would need to be removed... although the 1996 corvette did not come with an EGR valve so its a toss up.. you would have to look into it in your state!

Doesnt TPIS make a miniram for the LT where you can use a distributor?
