It's rare because it has hash marks on the fender.
Never seen a C4 with those before....

I am half tempted to drive my even MORE RARE 1985 "classic colector item" corvette over there and see it.
They only made a few 1985 vetts after all a few being 40 thousand! only 7603 in black! Very very rare

Those look better than the other 88 wheels imo.
Other than the base model's being more limited, that doesn't look like anything special.
