Initial impressions....427..
Well, first problem is it's hard to find enough highway here to get this thing moving. I put the pedal down, go really fast, have to slow down. I have to find some open road.
The car "turns on" about 3500 RPMs. On the highway I cruse about 2200RPMs at 60. If I put the hammer on, I get pinned in my seat 3500 rpms and up, and up, and up.....
I haven't had any off the line experience yet, as someone is always in front of me. PLUS the tires just let lose.
Temps and everything seem to be in line with what is normal.
I drove it to work today, as I was too tired to really deal with it yesterday. It's going to rain here for a few days, so it won't come out until the rain stops, probably wednesday.

New boat?
BTW, lots of wide open roads down here, bring her down.

The base tune seems pretty good, have not data logged it yet, I will download Datamaster shortly and do it. It won't stop raining until Wednesday so I can't do anything until then
sounds like a nice 427-
You and I know 287 is nicknamed The Speedway-I won't mention the locations, but there are several where LEO can't hide-especially northbound
Steve
John, good to hear she's running and running well...
You have about two weeks to get onto rolling into the throttle at launch; when you get pretty good at it you will be ready to bring her to E-Town, say on the 27th, for some test & tune runs. Your D36 should be quite safe since you're on street tires.
It'll be much easier to launch on the sticky track and you can still use that big engine at WOT for most of the 1/4 mile pass. Once you have a reasonable trap speed and launch weight we can get a pretty good peak CHP number.
BTW, does she get sideways when you drop the hammer at say 30-40mph??
