Hard Acceleration - Engine Dies
This is a problem that the car had before the engine buildup. Now after, it happened last weekend. When accelerating WOT from a stop,
to about 80-90mph, let off the throttle and the next thing I know, the thing just dies. I quickly restart (coasting) and all is well.
-Gas tank was full.
-New fuel pump, filters, pickup sock, fuel lines very good.
-New injectors, new fuel pressure reg.
-Ignition system is ALL new.
-Battery terminals are new and all grounds clean, tight.
EGR backpressure maybe???
Can someone offer any ideas? This is a toughy.

MAF's power relay dropped out for some reason or the relay wasn't making good contact to begin with?
Bad spot/spots in TP sensor?
Car was tired and need to take a break?
Were any codes triggered?

Are you letting completely off the gas? If so, it sounds like the car won't hold an idle after a high speed run. Could be the idle air valve or the EGR hanging open. Any other drivability issues?
