My 1990 came with the factory bose cassette radio. I just bought a used Bose CD/cassette that came out of a '91. These both use the same harness and should just be plug and play correct? Is there anything that will stop working after unplugging the radio?
Also, if anyone has any pictures of how to take the front bezel off to get to the radio that would be helpful too.

I can kind of help... I did this to my '94 and the cd was a DIRECT plug-and-play fit. I was amazed that it worked, but it did. It even sounded much better than the cassette unit.
I can't recall how I removed the bezel, but it was very straight-forward and easy. Once the console plate is off, it's very easy to see how to remove the radio bezel. My '94 has spring clips toward the top.
Toss all the bose sh*t in the trash. Speakers and all. Go buy a nice new sound system. Your car will sound so much better. I stayed with the bose sh*t until last winter. I bought a new stereo, and the enjoyment factor went up listing to a modern sound system. I dont know why I didnt upgrade years ago........

Well I just got a good deal on this unit so Im gonna stick with it. Im not into custom sounds systems and such, I just want to be able to play a CD because who owns tapes anymore??
Actually MP3 players are taking the place of CDs... Even newer cars come with an iPod jack.
To remove the console, open the door to the ash tray and remove the screws (7mm). Next, open the console door, there are screws inside the compartment, some of which are covered by the felt lining the compartment. Remove those, and lift the console up, and turn it so that you can get to the bezel screws on the bottom. Then remove the air diverter in the middle of the dash (2 phillips screws), there is a screw for the bezel behind there, remove it, and the bezel should pull out. I believe the radio is held in w/ four screws, again 7 mm.
