Default Bose radio question

Well I am ready to replace my stock Delco Bose AM FM Cassette player in my 85 Vette. I got the harness and antenna adapter to complete the job. I got a 95 Camaro AM FM CD player to put in the car. It was sold to me as a Bose unit. How can I tell for sure that it is a Bose unit as there is no Bose insignia on the lens faceplate? Could it have worn off? It is a model # 16175961 radio.

Not familiar with F body stereo's, but if it is bose and the wiring colors are the same, there should be 2 pink wires exiting the unit. One to power antenna and the other to power Bose amp relay.

That part number is a Bose radio from a 96 f body. It will work in your vette. That's the same radio I put in my 87. I wanted have a CD player. The only mod I had to do was splice in a wire for the Bose relay. I spliced into the power antenna wire and connected it to the pink wire coming from the dash. Some of the adapter harness come pre-wired for the relay some don't.

Enjoy your new radio!!!
