1994 Gas Guage Question

1994 Gas Guage Question
My gas guage registers full when the tank is full,but stays in the full positon until the reserve light comes on and then the gauge reads empty. There is no in between
Anyone have this problem

most C4's have a problem with the gas gauge (ours never drops below 1/2 regardless of what's left in the tank).
There is a repair procedure in the tech notes section, some have tried it with success, others have done same procedure with no improvement.
One thing that 'might' help is a couple bottles of Techron gas additive (or the GM version from the dealer).
Problem is likely due to sulfer in gas which corrodes the contacts on the float, so remember to only use good quality premium gas.

Thanks guys, I got that tech tip. I will try cleaning. If that doesn't work I guess it's a new sending unit.
