Default Where should this coolant line be routed

I have a 91 L98. I'm bypassing the throttle body.

Where did this coolant line from the back passenger side of the intake go to originally? (see photo). This steel line had been cut prior to me to a length of about 2" and a hose was attached that ran from the intake fitting to a brass tee that was installed in the coolant hose coming from the output of the throttle body.

Since I'm bypassing the throttle body now I guess, I will just tie it in somewhere in the hose that runs from the front of the intake to the heater core.

What I'd really like to do is just eliminate it--screw a brass plug into the threaded hole. Would this cause a problem?

I just don't remember noticing what the stock routing was on any original cars. I do know a lot of coolant runs through this steel line--but... where did it tie in originally?
Thanks

There is a small metal pipe that goes into a larger metal pipe that goes to the top heater hose. By-passing the throttle body should have no affect on this. I'm not sure, but I believe its there to bleed air from the coolent in the rear of the engine.

Thanks, but it... bleeds more than air, it pumps a steady stream of coolant the size of the tubing while the car is running with the line open.
It affects my application because as I said above, it had previously been routed to the hose coming out of the throttle body and going to the heater core. When you bypass the throttle body you end up with a hose from the front of the intake just below the throttle body to the heater core eliminating where it was previously plumbed in.

I can't really see it in the pic

If it is going right into the manifold at the head than you should be able to plug that up without consequence.

It went to a hard metal line that used to be where your transmission dipstick now is. It looks like you deleted it.

86Pacer, where did the hard metal line you're talking about empty into?

Iroc57 -- It's in top of the manifold. My arrow pointer in photo is just below the fitting. If you look real hard you can see the metal tubing (appx 5/16" diameter) leaning off to the left.
Thanks for relpies.

Just went outside and looked at the '90...

from the intake manifold it goes to a "Tee" one end going up too the lower tap on the top coolant tank... the other going down to the lower coolant over flow tank....

Not fully sure of how it's supposed to work but that's how's it's piped on the '90...

Looking at your pics I assume this isn't in a C4. That being the case most likely your radiator is higher than the bleed tube which means it should not cause you any problems just installing a brass plug like you're wanting to.

When you bypass the throttle body you end up with a hose from the front of the intake just below the throttle body to the heater core eliminating where it was previously plumbed in.
When "I" did the TB coolant bypass I ran a section of hose up under the TPS sensor and down behind the A/C compressor where I spliced into the OEM heater hose, to avoid just your current issue.
