Default Idling problem in gear

When in doubt ask for HELP. My 92 idles fine when first started and warmed while in Park or Neutral. When I place it in Reverse or Drive it starts loping and hesitates momentarily when accelerating. If I run the AC while in gear the idle problem goes away. AC off, the lope comes back at idle. Replaced the O2 sensors and no codes present. Any ideas?

Thanks.
Curtis

Start with simple stuff. Clean your throttle body and IAC motor pintle (remove the TB to do the job properly). I would also replace the PCV valve. It's located on the driver's side valve cover (under the plastic fuel rail cover).

I finally cleaned my TB and replaced. The hesitation is still occuring. I purchased a scanner to start monitoring the engine. The engine is idling at 600-625 RPM in PARK, in gear it drops to 500 RPM and is all over the place, 450-520 RPM's. I have no codes set. Also it started to backfire intermittenly when warming up. I was reading post today and by chance was reading about members poor idle with a knock coming from his flywheel. One reply was to check his injectors. I went and measured my injectors, 7 read 11.9 to 12 ohms, one read 1.3 ohms. My manual does not address injector per say except for pressure testing. I suspect this is the cause of my poor idling. I just started reading about the Bosch III injectors. Am I on the right path and any suggestion on injectors. My FSM does not state if they are 22# or 24#. Thanks for the Help.

Ordered a set of 22# Bosch III injectors from Jon at FIC, Thanks Jon! Just finished installing them and no more idle problem. Jon you were right, I now have a very smooth idle (knats on) and very quick response on the accelerator. Tommorow I will run her through the car wash, gas her up and hit the road! I am anticipating the increase in mpg's. I had been messing with this problem for over three months and it was no more than 30-45 mins to swap out. Thanks again.......
