Hello to all:

Had a lot oif expense repairs done on my '89 vette recently. 1 injector replaced, the others taken and soaked. Maf, EGR and TP sensors checked and adjusted as needed. Mechanic said I might have a burnt intake valve but when I got it back it ran pretty good.

Had Bosch Platinum plugs , mechanic said cylinder in questions showed all the lean signs but gave engine 6-12 months to live. Decided to install new plugs, (aluminum heads) and went with NGK's. Again, ran fine until I was told that I should have used an anti-seze . Pulled all the plugs on driver's side, coated the threads, a little dialetric in the boot, plugs back in and now seems like a dead low speed miss and back firing through the exhaust. Checked firing rotation, boot connections. Lost!
Where have I gone wrong? Can't believe that the suspected intake took a dump between plug changes. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

What kind/brand of anti-seze did you use? "Pulled all the plugs on driver's side, coated the threads".......could it be that the anti-seze is not allowing the plug's threads to be grounded to the head? You could check for continuity.....ohm the resistance between the head and the spark plug's hexagonal area (where the socket would be used to tighten/loosen the plug) to see if the anti-seze you used is the problem.

just so i understand. the mechanic soaked the Multecs. In what?. I hope not in injector cleaner. Why replace 1 anyway. With stock multecs when 1 goes the next is not far behind. I wonder if he ohmed checked those Multecs when hot. Most dealers don't even test the injectors. They just tell you that the ECM is gone. Do yourself a favor and check the injectors with an ohm meter when hot. if any are below 10ohms I would say thats your problem. Don't keep spending money untill you check these out.
