I have a 94 coupe, MN6. I really want to swap the Lt1 with a brand new LS3 married to the ZF6 tranny. I know the bellhousing does not exist for this swap but let us leave that for another thread in the Tech/Performance section. The question is this:
Can I keep the 94 ECM to run the AC, ABS, and other accessories other than the enginge specific funtions? Then use the GM performance wiring and ECM to monitor and control the LS3 engine functions. I have read where Hot Rod has installed the LS3 in a chevelle, I believe, and made a few runs down the track before swapping another engine for comparison. This car was a stripped down drag car with simple cockpit amenties. Could a special tune make the stock ECM oblivious of the task of running the LT1.
I really want to do the swap while keeping the stock gages, AC. ABS and traction control.
Chime in and give me hand on formulating a plan.

I can't help at the moment, but am looking to do the same thing. I have run a 7L LS on dyno with the GMPP install kit based on a Delphi E67 PCM. That works in a vacuum, like a '67 Chevelle, but maybe not if vehicle systems must be supported. I have considered using the C4 controls on the LS, but the Opti-Spark and its fixes are not that easy to adapt. I am sorting these out and will share what I learn.
Also very interested in this swap using a T56. My 86 LT1 motor/trans/interior swap has worked out very well but I want to go ls to drop more weight and have a motor thats easier to go fast with.
