Bose CD Fade Button
I just recently purchased a Bose CD to replace the Bose cassette in my '90. However the fader button on the CD player is missing and there is just a hole. What all do I need to replace it? Should the button from my cassette unit just pull out and go into the CD unit?

You've got a problem there. There should be a shaft emerging out of the radio that the **** attaches too. It's not supposed to come out and since yours did, you likely have a damaged potentiometer inside. Just pull the **** off your old radio and it will be obvious.

Can I swap it with my cassette unit?

If you're handy with a soldering iron. It will require internal surgery. Also, on the non Bose tape unit, that **** is a two function item, fade and balance. On the Bose units, it's only a fade. Otherwise, I would think it's possible.
