clutch slave issues?
hey guys, i just was on my way to the race track last night. did a couple 2nd gear pulls just to get use to the sound of the engine where power starts falling off. at any rate, the clutch pedal goes limp. i drive to the track in 3rd, shut it off and notice the clutch master is dry. i rob some brake fluid, pour it in and pump the pedal. the clutch gets hard, as in it's not able to depress. wound up driving home with the rod off the clutch pedal just so i could start it. 2nd gear on the freeway...it took awhile. my question is, does this sound like a common slave failure? i ripped it out last night and the shaft was flopping around inside the boot. fluid everywhere. seems obvious right? that stiff pedal thing had me a little worried. seized piston maybe?
