I have a 1987 Z52 Coupe With a 4+3. Apon take off, I get weird creeking noises from the drivers side rear suspension area. But it is only apon take off or while driving very slow and constantly clutching (like slowly maneuvering through a tight space). It also happens when I back up. However, I have tried to get it to make the noise by constantly pushing that corner of the car down, like rocking it up and down, and it won't make the noies.
Has anyone had this problem? Could it be from the twisting force of the driveshaft on a piece of the rear suspension?
I also have a rattle coming from what I think is the engine compartment under WOT. But it only rattles after it is good and warmed up then is shut down and restarted for a second time, or multiple times after the first running. I just find it odd that it doesn't make the rattle the first time I start it from a cold start.
I agree with the U joint theory get down there and check those joints for slop.....if your car has aftermarket polyuerothane type bushing (for a stiffer/tighter ride) installed in the trailing arms those things can squeak like a SOB too.
