I HAVE A EARLY 86 AND MY PROBLEM IS WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR ON A STRAIGHT A WAY AND ACCELERATE , THE CAR RUNS FINE, NO ISSUES. HOWEVER IF I ACCELERATE OUT OF A CURVE OR TURN ONTO A SIDE
STREET AND FLOOR IT, I GET THIS HESITATION FOR ABOUT A SECOND AND THEN THE CAR RUNS LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD A ISSUE LIKE THIS AND WHAT COULD IT BE

Is it a manual transmission and are you in overdrive. Sounds like you are turning the corner with OD on and then hitting the gass a little much and overdrive is turning off. Or you are slowing down enough around a corner and OD is coming off. Either way, it may hesitate a little bit.
ITS A AUTO, I HAD IT OVERDRIVE, IT SEEMS LIKE THE ENGINE IS CUTTING BACK OR SOME THING. KIND OF FEELS LIKE IN A NEWER CAR WHEN YOU HIT THE GOVENOR THAT SMALL CUTOUT FOR A SECOND THEN BAM IT GOES
I have hit the rev limiter on my 87 2 times. People told me that it is set at like some outragious number like 10,000. But I hit it at about 6,000 because I wasnt watching my tach, and both times i was roasting them around a corner at wide open throttle and for sure I felt the engine die off for a second!
Try it with plenty more fuel in it. With many C4s when the tank reads 1/4 youre practically empty. You may be sucking up air when youre turning.
I always fill mine up once it starts dropping below half tank.

You would think for a 'Sports Car' (one made for taking extreme corners) they would have designed the tank so that it couldn't suck up air... Like by using some baffles to slow the side to side flow.
