How does this happen?
A forum member sent me a PM......I asked if I could post this to try to get some answers as to how this happens. They said "sure go ahead"...
SO I ask how does this happen?
Quote:
I know of 2 motors:
1. 383 CFI's, both have the Xram. One motor has these heads
Dart Pro 1 180cc/64cc- 268XFIHR13 Cam
2. The other
AFR 195 cc / 65cc - 280XFIHR13
The motor #1 dynoed at 415 hp/ 498 tq The Dart heads
Motor number 2 was worse by far, the AFR heads, didn't even break 400 HP, and had a bigger cam.
Both are tuned correctly.
These are actual cars by the way.
SO how does this happen? It defies the laws of common sense and marketing...

Dart makes a good product.
I wonder what the intakes were on each motor, as well as exhaust.

Too many variables...tune, mis-matched cam, exhaust, etc...
However, if you want to post a question that not dripping with sarcasm I would wonder how that happened...
