It definitely wasn't because of the trans. It was a 100% new gm unused blue tag when I sent it to him. If I am correct the noise is the nature of the trans having to do with the way the gears mesh etc etc.

Yea, it is the nature of the trans, but I still thought he could do something the help tone down the (rocks in a can) noise

Anyway, we better keep this on topic.

Larry, with a TKO the bellhousing issues with an LS series motors become a thing of the past. Am I right to be thinking there is a new breed of small block somewhere in your future?

I have been slowly studying Big Blocks and how to get a steady TQ curve in the 550 - 600 RWTQ range. I dont thinik I can do this with a SB.
