86 Corvette

I have a 86 Corvette the Digital Dash seems to have a mind of its own it lights up sometimes and is very faint at other times. Is it possible that I may have a bad ground somewhere? Any information anyone could provide me with would be greatly appreciated.

go to batee.com and look under projects, corvette electronics. I had a bad ground problem and fixed it myself soldering in an aux. ground wire

Mine did the same thing for years. Finally I took it apart and soldered the pins that connect board to the LEDs. Now it's really nice to not have it blinking all the time. If I would have known how easy it was, I would have done it a long time ago. I did have to google how to solder, though, as I'd never done it much.

I have a similar problem. It jsut completely turns off at times (only at night) and other times the turn signal and highbeam bulbs (on the cluster) will illuminate. A slight tap and it goes away for a sec.

Same here. I just took out the cluster and replaced all the bulbs and cleaned up the connections. All is fine for the time being.
