Well then they would seem to be too bright and more current draw. You can either use them and see what happens, or buy the right stuff? While the automotive bulbs are kinda pricey, on the plus side they last a really long time.
these are 12V 8W xenon bulbs, not halogen. i replaced the 882 halogen dash bulbs on my 85 with the xenon equivalent years ago without issues. one of my center mount brake light bulbs went out on my 90 - went to autozone - $7 - anyway, i'm about to order a set. even with shipping - better bulb (10K hr.avg. life) at better price.
I got fed up with those bulbs in my previous '87 and I replaced the whole inner parts with a led extra brake light. Here is how I did it (sorry about the language, it's in Finnish, but you'll see all from the pictures) You can also see, how the bulbs have melted the connection, which leads to inoperative bulbs even when bulbs themselves are working properly.
Don't mind the cables being routed at the wrong side of the hole in the last picture, I just noticed it after the picture was taken. (It's all explained there in Finnish)
And here is how it looks installed from outside the car:

what's the source of the LED brake light? is it an aftermarket part or ??? part number - ??? thanks...
It's from a initially swedish chain 'Biltema', which sells mainly cheap car spare parts but also some other junk. Perhaps it could be described as 'Wal-Mart of car spare parts' so you'll get the idea.
I have no idea, what would be the part number that you could use on that side of the Globe, (but in Biltema's catalog it's listed 42352) here is a bigger/better picture of the light:
It has 36 led bulbs, measurements are approximately 13.78x1.57x0.79 inches (width height depth). It's a aftermarket spare part. That's about all I can help you with, sorry about the inadequacy.
