Another question... my intake track is ridiculously hot! I have been taking it easy on my vette' since the blower install (and i now have the stuff coming from Greg at blowerworks.... injectors, pulley, tune, plugs) but the intake track is incredibly hot. I don't really know why? I am staying out of boost.
My guess is under hood engine temps. How hot is the intake manifold and how hot is the blower itself. If it is as hot as the blower then I wouldn't worry about it. The IAT will compensate for warm air since there won't be too much heat transfer between the hot pipe and the intake air since it will be moving through there quickly.

i bypassed the coolant lines to the TB, just to take that out of the equation. At the "neck" of the intake manifold (right behind the TB), it's incredibly hot. i cannot leave my hand on it for more than a second. I never really tried this before the supercharger install, so it might be fine (normal). I am just being super cautious right now. and "if" this is normal, wow! I now know why the guys use a alky intercooler... it must drop the intake air temps substantially!
Some IAT readings from your vehicle would be helpful to determine if there is a problem.
If the IATs are still in the 100-200°F range, I would say there is no problem. If they are above 160°F at cruise and run above 200°F on boost, you are asking for problems.

how would i get these readings, especially at cruise? the only method i can think of would be to use one of those "temperature guns", but how would i get the reads at cruise with this tool. any advice?
...ahhhh, lol... don't have access to that. the chip is being tuned by Greg @ blowerworks. I'll see if i can hook it up to the local tuners hardware/software when i take it in to get it "fine tuned".
