so it is possible that the processor is not sending the signal, can I check this with a DVOM?
If I have the module plugged in and try and start the car, I should see ground on the dark blue wire, correct.
And I should also see a 30Hz signal from processor,right?
I remember when I bought mine the company told me that there were 2 different modules. One was 30Hz and the other 50Hz
check voltage with DVOM on the ecm output wire to the VATS/your bypass module...if the processor is working you should see abt 2.5vdc...if you see abt 5v or 0v, NFG...should NOT see a "ground" on that "blue wire" if you are tied into the correct wire (there is more than one blue at the ecm IIRC)
your 87 should use a 30 Hz module...some aftermarket sim modules have dual output and may need select switch set.
