Default L Term C Count vs. L Term Adj.

What the heck is the difference and which one correctly equates to the BLM. I have tuned asuming that the C Count is the Blm (& Int for the S-term) But Ive noticed that they behave differently...

For example often the Sterm will fall to 105...The Lterm Adj sometimes will also fall.... Suddenly it will then reset to 128 like an Int however, the L Term C count doesnt change.... This may be a long topic but, one is this change real time, IE if the vacuum is at 50 and the rpms at 900 and the value of the L term is 112... Should a VE adjustment be made at 50 and 900 or should it be made at, say, the data point just prior to the rich condition...??

Two questions but hopefully answers will come...

As for my current method of tuning... I have touched on both idle and VE but dont want to mess with Spark until the car runs better My IAC values (I cant remember if this is with the heater on or off if that matters, but obviously it was very cold) Ranged everywhere from 60-100 100 generally at rpms above 1000rpms....Should I make an adjustment here...? Ive been tuning for forever with the normal IAC setting and have never touched it, and have gotten close maybe my tuning was a waste of time....

I'm using diacom, so can't say for sure, but... sterm should be int and lterm blm. If the int is continually low then it will "drag" the blm down also, after the blm goes down the int will go back near 128 and start over. Something to keep in mind that had me chasing my tail for quite a while-try to run at a steady load/rpm/tps when you read the #'s. If you're accel. or decel. you'll get "transitional" changes that if you try to adjust for, it can run you in circles!
If you get a "steady" reading then adjust the ve table at that point, not before; it's just too hard to "anticipate" .
I'd get the iac about 20's count-that range seems to be working for most folk. Hope this can help.

Nomar,
Your IAC count will be high going down the road, which indicates that the IAC is letting in more air than at idle. The purpose of more air through the IAC is that if you snap off the throttle blades while driving, the engine will not die. IAC is the Idle Air Control. Its setting at idle depends on the TB screw adjustment. Its setting going down the road is increased above the idle setting by the computer, which can be re-programmed. Most people like the idle set about 30-40 at idle full warm. With AC, I believe the IAC count increases, but the heater which does not increase engine load should have no affect.
