Well fellas I got the car out Friday night for some more action. Figured the weather would be good but the track was wet from Dew and the track surface was a little too cold for real good traction.
Nevertheless the car went a new best of 10.05@134.X on a 1.32 60ft time. The 60ft was not my best but the end ET was pretty good. Not the 9 sec one I was looking for but not disappointing either.
I did not know they ran a pro-tree on their street nights so I was screwed with the reaction times. I should have been going in deep to reduce my reaction times but that would have messed with the end ET, and I am not used to staging deep so I likely would have been been off my game regardless. I went two round and then went out with a really poor light..... Oh well.
I would have posted them sooner but the wife had me on a little vacation all weekend with a group from our kids wrestling club. A wine tour with 18 other wrestling couples is NOT a good idea! Oh my garsh did we have a good time, but I do not think we will be invited back anytime soon!
Thanks fellas. Redl98 I would like to hit jersey for one of their November races, but i will have to watch how the wrestling schedule stacks up against their dates. I know we start Wrestling in the middle of Nov.....so we will have to see.
Also I might get out 1 or two more times around here. The car can do it, the conditions will just have to be good. Problem is the traction on T&T days sorta sucks at Beaver and Pittsburgh is all but done....numidia might be an option.
Again thanks for the comments and its always fun to share with those that appreciate the work/effort that goes into making a car like this.
How do i get my Vette to pop wheelies?
(in less than 100 words and less than $5000)
The main reason it does the wheelies or rather dead hooks is the solid rear setup that I offer for these cars. It removes the weak IRS and allows a user to bolt in a solid rear setup which is far superior to anything else you can put in these cars. And the price is under 5k
I have seen rather stock vettes pull one wheel, with the solid rear it would most definitely be able to do it.
I saw the taillight that night after that run. Just had the back off the car and knew it would not be long before one of those nasty to get at lights went out
