Lower the window, take off the door panel and drill out the rivets with a drill. Lift it up and replace. Be sure to get all the clips in the holes before you pop rivet the new one in place.

That sums it up. BTW, they are called outer window seals.
You may have to loosen the glass to get it low enough to safely drill out the rivets. If you let the spinning drill bit touch the edge of the glass it could shatter it, also wrap some tape around the bit so it won't go too far, if it does you will have a nice hole in your door. Pretty tight area there.
Also, mark the window adjustments with a marker so you can put it right back where it was.

I can tell you that you will run right through pretty easily. I had to fill and paint a nice clean 3/16" hole just in front of my mirror
There's no reason to move the amp box, put the window about 1/2 up and you will see three 10 mm nuts that holds the glass. Circle these nuts with a marker so you can put it back exactly where it came from. When you go to tighten them back up, just snug them, don't overtighten or the window will explode like a grenade,,,,,,,,,, don't EVEN ask me how I know. As far as the inner fuzzies, you can do them while it's apart or any time you wish, they're much easier to do.
aaaack! Why are you unbolting the window from the regulator?! There is no need to touch it!
Are you just replacing the outer window wipes on the door, or did I misunderstand? With the door panel off and window powered all the way down you can see the 3 rivets that hold the window wipe to the door. Get a drill and place a piece of 1/4" rubber fuel line hose over the entire length of the bit, leaving only about a 1/4" of the bit tip exposed. That will help prevent you from drilling through the door. If you are going to rivet the new wipes in place, you need LARGE flange rivets (not standard rivets) or short sheet metal screws. I forget the sizes, but if you do a search I think you'll find them listed here.

will the screws not strip the fiberglass?
i want to redo my stereo so i can wire the front bose with a band pass, and install tweeters with a high pass, so i need to get in there to do the work
The screws do not go into the fiberglass, or they'd come through the outside. there's a lip between the outer door skin and the window that the wipes screw into. I've never pulled the front speakers, but I think you can get to them with the metal insert removed instead of removing the window.
The speaker box has 3 or 4 screws holding it to the door, then it has dum dum, (a sticky caulk like adhesive) between it and the inner panel. Once you get the screws out you can pry it away from the inner panel.
C4boy some cars windows will not go down far enough to get at the rivets, mine for one.

Really? I thought the doors were all the same. I've done the outer wipes with both the new and old style regulators in and didn't have a problem getting at the rivets.
