Default Broadcast code

I am going to order a chip from TPIS and they ask for a broadcast code.
Anyone know what that is?

Thanks

Try your VIN here and check the results. I do believe it will give the correct "original/as built" information and include any "rolling" updates.

I don't believe the code is on the build sheet / nor is it referenced from the VIN as there is no reference in the VIN for trans type.

What year model and trans do you have?

Did you try the link I provided for you to enter the VIN? I've used this for calibration information and PROM ID's for years and I used it yesterday for some '90 and '91 information. It worked for them!

BTW no 3.45 in '89 MY either 3.33 or 3.54 but "rodjs" info is good both axle ratios I'm quite sure. I did though see some other information in a parts catalog for an ANYL I believe but both used the same service replacement PROM. I'm interested in what information the link provided.

Here's an '87 MY VIN from eBay: 1G1YY3186H5124850 You can use this to see how it works. You need to use some avalable information but you'll see all the possibel combinations to match specific RPO's etc. We used this information in OBD1 days to arrive at the "more current" available updates for the PROM. It surprises me that it would do one '87 VIN and NOT another. Is yours an EXPORT specific build?
