First step any and everytime is to check for codes, active and historic. Injector cleaner is cheap and can't hurt, so why not?
Jack up the right rear and check for any looseness in the hub (bearings). 32K would normally be way soon for a bearing failure, but that is still the first thing to check if you are sure it is not just tire noise (how's the tire pressure?)>
If you just got the car I'd drive it a couple of days before doing anything to it other than just checking and changing the fluids....to see what you got. Run the "old" gas out of it and put "fresh" gas in....who knows how long the "old" gas has been sitting in the car before you bought it.
A good place to start is:
Drive the car down to the autozone, pepboys, or some other auto store.....they will check your car for codes for free.
My personal opinion is that fuel injector cleaner is a waste of money...but to each their own.
If you plan on hangin' onto the car I'd recommend getting a F.S.M.(factory Service manual) for your year. New books run about $130 new but if your lucky you can find a used one in the forum's C4 Parts for sale/wanted for much less.
I would get some Throttle body cleaner and clean up the TB.
I would also get a fuel pressure gauge and check pressure @ the rail if your WOT problems are not resolved by the "new" gas.
I think I will try the injector cleaner first and go from there.
In regard to the rear end noise...do you think I should drain and refill the rear end lube?
