Halloween Indication
Drving into work in my 1996 LT1 Coupe, this morning I got a message flashing "SYS" on the instrument panel no matter what mode I was in. I comes up about every 30 seconds and flashes 3 or 4 times and then goes to the correct reading. All the instruments were in the normal range and there is nothing illuminated on the DIC. All lights on the DIC come up prior to starting. Anybody got any ideas?

The CCM seems to be more sensitive to a low battery than anything else.
It is not uncommon for the "SYS from the CCM to display if the battery is low, even though the vehicle will still start.
This is the best thing to check first.
