Default Wheel offset for 86 vette

Guys what is the correct offset for a 86 vette? To mount a later style ZR1 11" wheel on the rear of a 86, what would be needed. Just trying to research what I currently have on my car. Purchased with ZR1's mounted already.

The 11" rim should be 36mm

You can use the OEM ZR_1 wheel that has a 36mm offset. There are companies that sell ZR-1 style 11" wide wheels that will fit the 84-87 cars.

Keep in mind that the 315/35-17 tires used on these 11" ZR-1 wheels are not that easy to find. The basic tire choices are cheap or really expensive. You might get a pair of tirs now, but 3 years from now, that size may be very difficult to find.

A true ZR1 rear rim goes on without anything needed. A Grand Sport rear rim does not.
And as has been said, you might want to buy up a few sets of tires.

Fronts in 9.5" need a 38mm offset.

Additional information

Link to a 1984-1996 Corvette Suspension Chart

All 1984-1996 Corvette wheels have 5 bolts and the bolt circle diameter is 4.75"

To use 1988-1996 wheels on a 1984-1987 Corvette you need 0.75" spacers.

The 11" wide rear zr1 wheels will fit 1984-1987 Corvettes without spacers.
The 1984 and 1985 wheels were made from an aluminum casting that do not shine much when polished.

Enkei produced the 1986 and 1987 wheels for GM and they were made of an aluminum that could be polished to a high luster. These Enkei produced wheels also were slightly larger on the inside, which means you can use the '88 and later 2-piston front brake caliper with a 13" rotor. The Enkei produced wheel can be identified by a small symbol in one of the slotted radial wheel vents which looks like an "m" grafted to an upside down "J".
