Default 700R4 question

Are there any adjustments on a 700R4, besides the TV cable, that affect the torque converter lockup? Mine was just rebuilt last week and the shift points and shift firmness seem really high. It's awesome under heavy acceleration but, less than half throttle it really slams into gear. Under very light throttle the TC locks up at 47 mph and seems to work just fine. At highway speeds however, it doesn't seem to lock up at all. I'm taking it back to the shop in the morning but want to be able to communicate on an informed basis. Just FYI, I checked the TV cable adjustment and it seems fine. I noticed they but a spacer on the end of the cable opposite the attachment button. I checked it by opening the throttle all the way with one hand and then pulling on the cable end with a pair of pliers with the other hand to see if there was any cable left at WOT. There is not. At WOT, the cable is fully extended. That's the way it's supposed to be, right? So then, if the cable's adjusted properly, what other adjustment might affect the TC lockup function?

Adjustments, no. Internal mods that the shop may or may not have done-Yes.

The torque convertor lockup in a 700R4 is controlled by the ECM. The only way to change the speed that it locks up is to change the programming, not by changing the transmission.

If memory serves me right there should be 3/8 in of slack in the tv with the throttle body at WOT. I have an aggressive shift kit in the 700r4 in my elcamino and its the same way. At light throttle it shifts hard. It lessens it if im always about half way in it.

The govenor can adjust shift points and they make adjustable govenors however it is a little involved to do it.
