Default L98 intake system

I own a 91 corvette with an L98 TPI. I have done some modifications that require more air. I have seen "over-sized" intake systems that deal with the throttle body, air-rails, manifold and such, but i cannot find a intake system that will replace the stock filter and plumbing system. I really don't think the engine gets enough air anyways, besides the increased need for air after modifications.

Long question short.......
does anyone know where I can get a cold air intake/cone filter system for a 91' L98?!?!

You may want to practice your ninjaneering skills for that one. Whatever you do, I want pictures!

The stock filter is good to over 400 HP, how much do you have?

Definitely not up to 400 yet. but, the piping between the filter and the throttle body is slightly warped and likes to fall off. rather than buy a stock replacement that i will just end up throwing away, i would rather make this mild upgrade now.

I guess I'll have to reach into my pocket and pull something out.

thanks

What mods have you done that you need more air?

The stock system is a "cold air" system. The stock filter has more surface area than a cone filter. Just replace what is broken and intall a high flow filter "stock type" filter. Then you can do the free mod of cutting the top off of the air filter lid (search). If you buy anything else at this point you are just throwing your money away.

you can go to midamerica motor works (mamo) and get a new solid tube I have one and also you can get a claw but think of the real reason you are buying it 1. for looks or really performance. a new filter and cut airlid might be the same performance? I have a corvette ramair cold air intake with iat sensor but new if you can find them are like $500 but it does work compared to cutlid!!! is it worth it probly not! it is powder coated and has a scoop that goes under the car and has a 3 cone filter in the box itself! they also sell a little front license plate one some here have it ! just do a search to find more!
