You cannot get an ECM for a 1992 from anyone. I hope the GM dealers will get some after the first of the year, but NONE of the national part houses have a refurb available. They may be listed on their website, but when you try to buy it they are on backorder. The only choice for those of us with these ECMs is to find a rebuilder and get them rebuilt.
Its unfortunate but you can't find one! (/soapbox}
When mine went south I found a used working one. I sent my old one off to have it rebuilt, checked it when I got it. Put the used one I bought on the shelf for when I need it again - no it is not for sale.

My 92 LT-1 needed one in May, stopped "seeing" the right O2 sensor... GM online parts shows it as forever backordered. But did find a A1-Cardone distributor "BBB Automotive", or anyone that sells their products. They're in stock and had it in a few days. Installed and worked fine. no issues. There is a pretty healthy core charge. Or as someone else stated, they sell them at autopartsgiant.com, but that web site is easier to navigate than BBB's for sure. GeorgeC

I have an 88 ,my ECM went and I got a new one from my local Chevy dealer. Is a 92 ECM much different? I also think Corvettte Central has a rebuild service.
Needed an ECM for my '93 Z/28 in Jan. and was told it would be March or April to get on list from GM. Had my Dealer send in mine for rebuild and took about 10 days, could give your dealer a call and get their info. my $.02
