1988 door panel

Default 1988 door panel
I am missing the drivers side door cap. Now the question, is the door panel and the cap two seperate pieces

Yes, the cap is separate on my 87. It fastens to the door panel with(I believe they are called) star washers pushed onto the posts on the cap. Probably have to remove door panel to fasten

What are you calling the cap ?? The arm rest ??
If so, 2 screws and a couple of molded clips, is all that's holding it down.

You need to remove the door panel to attach that piece. Its held on with 4 speed nuts.
You need the upper trim and defroster bezel.

You can get these at most of the Corvette parts houses. Here is an example of a typical offering.
