Default Split fire plugs

Well i finally got a chance for a tune up,After pulling the plugs I found the previous owner had used Split fire plugs. They appeared to be new.(I have only had the care about two months)The car seemed to stumble at idle and bog down at take off.Everything I took off seemed to be Ac Delco and looked new,but I didn't know what had been done. Now I do.After putting Ac plugs FR5LS back in the car runs much better.Anybody ever had problems with Split fire plugs.I have heard they are not good plugs?

Ive used split fires before and they worked just fine, and I dont think there was any gains to be had.Felt like any other plug.

Your stumble problem if related to the plugs may have been they had too much gap on them
but just a guess. You cant go wrong with the a/c delcos however, they always seem to work best out the box.

The split fire is just a gimmick, just like the bosch +4's (FLAME SUIT ON)

Personally I run the NGK TR55's.

Hehheeh I like that.
Anyways, just stick the RapidFire's or standard Plugs, and do the electrode cut-back trick.

Works for me..
