Why would cutting it make it dirt-clog more than normal ?

Which ones? I went and looked, I noticed several mods done at once with no way of knowing what did how much.
Ok here's how I attribute that 2.8 sec gain in trap speed, i.e. 28chp.:
-10chp from cut lid with K&N
-10chp from 160deg T-stat
-8chp from cut-back spark plugs (this one I later verified by swapping back in the old spark plugs and lost .8mph)

Just log off and never come back, these bastages on here talked me into spending thousands of dollars

I am usually no fan of these small "mods" but you can't argue with these results

The few LT1 dyno's I've seen for this mod only show a 1 or 2hp increase. Not enough to really be measured when you consider all the variables that have to remain constant. It certainly wont cost you anything other than a dirty filter.
