Default LT1 Motor

Will parts from a corvettes LT1 fit a LT1 in a camaro. Say a superram and intake was purchased from a corvette; would that intake fit the LT1 camaro model? Would parts from a stock LT1 Camaro fit a stock LT1 out of a corvette? Is it correspondable each way? Especially heads. Would LT4 heads fit Corvette and Camaro LT1s? Can't find the exact answer. Lots of false sites on the internet and the salvage yards are no help.

Thanks alot!

WTF?

Actual engine parts from one or the other will interchange--ie heads, intake, crank, rods, pistons, etc. Some differences in fuel rails, oil pans, exhaust manifolds, accessories, etc.

As for the LT4 heads, they'll bolt to any LT1 block but you'll need an LT4 intake as well.

A superram intake from an LT1 will fit an LT1, reguardless of what car it came out of. However, I have never seen a Superram that fit an LT1. I know they made them, but I don't think there was a big market for them.

I believe the front accessory mounting brackets for alternator and A/C are different between F body and Corvette, but as the others have said heads and intake will swap including LT4 as long as the intake is matched to the LT4 heads.

caprice 350 heads also bolt on and flow slightly better, plus they use a thinner head gasket, not that you can't get away with a thinner then stock on the other heads, but they have a larger CC, on the bright side you can find them dirty cheap, I am considering buying a pair instead of rebuilding the heads I have. They do tend to run hotter though plus they are heavier.

He didn't mention the intake so I was assuming he meant that he was just wanting to swap heads.

There was also a Camaro and Firebird that came with the LT4 engine.
