Hi
I have done a search and there are some good links etc as to getting replacement injectors. The thing I got a bit confused on was how much you have to strip down Just to replace the injectors?
I have a Stock 86 vert.
Does anyone know the official @timmings' for how long it takes to do this?

~3-5 hour job depending on your ability and availble tools.
For the most part pull the penum, runners and disconnect the fuel lines at the front of the intake.
You may want to change the FPR (fuel pump regulator) diaphram while your in there if it is the original.

Thanks for the info, looks like a good job for the christmas hols
I made a photo doc of my intake replacement. It may give you some insight into what it takes to pull the injectors on our cars. I had my injectors serviced by Rich at CruzinPerformance.com, and I was pleased with his work.

A excellent place to get replacement injectors is Jon at FIC you cant beat the products prices or customer service. I just replaced mine a little more than a month ago and it wasnt hard and when I ran into a problem Jon helped me out on a Sunday afternoon how is that for customer service.
John has excellent service. I just installed my new injectors the other day after conquering 4 broken intake bolts! I'll be doing a write-up for intake gasket replacement on an L98 and injector replacement. Like everyone above said, fuel lines will need to be disconnected after fuel pressure is relieved. You can pull the fuel pump fuse and run the car until it dies. Or you can jack the front of the car up and remove the gas cap (I did this and didn't have a single drop of gas come out). DISCONNECT THE BATTERY too! You don't want ANY chance of sparks with gas fumes.....
Go to GM and get the replacement fuel line to fuel rail o-rings. Ecklers also sells them. IIRC, there was a thread specifically on the o-ring sizing. For the earlier years there are 2 different sized o-rings and the later years, such as the '91, have two of the same size. DO NOT forget to put anti-sieze on every bolt that is going into an aluminum part (just about every bolt, except for those exposed to coolant or other liquids).

Had my 88 done in about 4 hours. There is no doubt in my mine that FIC is the only place I would ever go for injectors, or even a quick call for information. I left my driver side runner in place, and just removed the plenum and passenger runner and had no problem at all. Some of the runner bolts are different sizes, so make sure they go back in the same spot. Do change all the O-rings in the fuel rails, and put in a adjustable FP regulator while you got it apart. You will need a FP gauge to set your fuel presure after you put in your new injectors. Bosch III are fantastic, and really did wake up my car. It was easier putting in the injectors, than it was to change my water pump. Good luck...
