Default 1989 dies

Car gradually got to this point over the last 4 or 5 times driving. Then I didn't trust it to drive then and now it won't stay running. I put in new ECM along with another prom. Less than 4,000 on fuel pump and sending unit. Fuel pressure 50. New MAF relay. Mechanic said it has a weak pulse. It would run for a few seconds with volt meter hooked up till pulse drops and engines dies. I hear the factory injectors go bad often. The last two times driving when I tried to give it a little extra gas it would lose power and I would be coasting till I pulled over and turned off car & let it sit for a few minutes and re-starting and going home slowly. Now when it starts if I try to give it gas it dies. Any suggestions?? My mind says I may have some bad injectors. Any way to check them? I believe I have factory multec injectors and car has 165,000 miles but was running great till this happened. It basically has a weak pulse and after cranking it will die (quicker if I try to give it gas) just like it is out of gas. I am over $300.00 so far in this repair with no fix yet. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

I just talked to mechanic that is working on car and he said to mention that the car is not getting 12 volts to MAF and has a poor pulse on injectors. Any suggestions now. I hope this will help as I feel like we may be getting closer. Thanks so much!!

Un plug MAF and start car. If it runs better un plugged, it may be MAF. You said you replaced the MAF relay? It should have 2 relays for MAF.

Talk to Jon @ FIC injectors, http://fuelinjectorconnection.com
The ethanol in the gas eats them up. Worked great for me

Default I spoke to soon

I put new ECM in and it ran good while driving it around for about 30 minutes. The next morning after running it for about 10 minutes it went back to the same problem: When I give it gas it dies!

I believe new ECM gone again. Poor pulse again. Any suggestions is appreciated!! Thanks!

The ECM you are buying from AutoZone is a salvage ECM that has been tested and alleged to be good, but I would be warry about 3, your original one and two replacement computers. I would check the harness coming into the unit for a short.

You could check the resistance of each of the injectors. Remove the connector and you can measure ohms with a meter. I had three that were bad. What's a poor pulse anyway?
