if color is important, wipe any distrib cap down with "pre-cleano" or similar to remove any oil or mold release agent from manufact, mask off the plug wire terminal tops and any other sensitive areas, blast with any desired ENAMEL "rattle can" other than metallics or aluminum/silver (even some of those are ok, but some ain't)...paint is really just plastic, same as distrib caps, aluminum in metallics/ silver in some formulations will short circ spark..lacquer paints may craze plastic cap surface, bad unless you want "velvet" look

Mallory has a red screw down cap and rotor kit, part # is 520. I haven't used it, but it's out there. Found them at Summit back when I was looking at which set up I wanted.
