Not really a "tech" question, but I figured you guys would know.
I took off the center console to fix the lighter socket, which unscrewed. Before putting it all back, I wanted to lubricate some of the touch points where you get creaks and squeaks....
What should I use? I was thinking a microthin layer of silicone grease, but that stuff is supposed to dry out vinyl moulding?
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

The factory used thin pieces of felt. I've used that approach as well and it works pretty good.
My doors were sqeeky on the places where the vinyl touches eachother. I used small pieces of felt that i cut into strips. I glued them in place to be unseen. It works well.

Felt is a great thing....I've used felt to place between the vanity mirror and it's cover(stick it to the cover not the mirror) to stop them from rattleling too.
