You really need to get your hands on a FSM. All the guys who suggest injectors/regulators/gaskets have valid points. However with no Code 12 the FSM suggests the quad drivers in the ECM are faulty. This type of fault can give you all sorts of fuel fault indicators.
I'm with Muffin, BUT I think I would ohm the injectors first, very simple job. And it does sound like you may have a bad ECM, which can also cause a very rich condition, at least alot of guys reported that.
I just took out the cold start injector and gas came pouring out where the metal line runs where you have to unscrew it. I was coming out for about 2 mins then it stopped.
This sounds like a bad intake gasket, and a bad injector.
1. if the gasket is bad, the thing won't run because of the massive vacuum leak.
2. when it quits, and the injector is leaking, the manifold gasket is allowing the fuel into the oil.
OR
he has a cracked intake manifold, cracked head, or just a plain ol' mystery.
No......if his intake was sucking that much wind, it would run sluggish from the moment started due to lean AFR.
And how would a leaking intake manifold gasket allow fuel to get into the oil? If his car doe's have both of these problems, they would be mutaully exclusive.
were exactly is the ECM located? Im going to check all fuses and run all wires to make sure everything is correct!
The ECM for an 85 is up behind the dash panel on the passenger side. Remove the cover and look straight up. Easy to remove Two screws if I remember correctly. It slides straight down.
Do you have a FSM? If not I can scan the trouble shooting tree for no 12 code flashing for you.
WHY haven't you ohmed your injectors yet!!!!!!! Do you know how? The fuel pressure test is showing fuel leaking somehow, the fuel in oil suggests leaky injectors, along with pressure dropping to 0. All you need is an ohm meter, disconnnect the injector and take the leads from the meter and touch them to the injectors, what you're looking for is a big difference in injector readings. That will tell you if the injector(s) coils are healthy or not.
Look at the top of this page and read FICINJECTORS, John has even posted to show guys how.
I have ohm the injectors which all of them are at 16. Im Gunna Borrow a friends injector tester tommorrow to see if i have any leaky injectors. But i Still need Troobleshooting diagnostics for no code 12.
I'm guessing you got the NoCode 12 charts from the FSM. Please, when you come back, refer your comments to the charts. Will help us in trying topoint you in the right direction.
