gears

ok, if i was going to put 3.73 gears into my car what all would i have to do besides the gears and maybe a little rebuild kit in the back? easy to fix the speedo or is there any programming needed (lt1 auto)? easy task?

92 and 93, you change the gears and sensor in the transmission. 94 up requires program such as hypertech.

You can replace the physical gears in a '94 and up as well, but reflashing the PCM is definitely easier and can give you added bonuses, as well. I don't think much of Hyperslop, though. Much better to send the PCM off for custom reprogramming by someone like Ed Wright at FastChip.

i put 375's in my vette.i purchased a speedometer calibrater in ecklers. it works on all 84-93's. retail was $169.99. good luck! :cheers:
