Default More power now?

Well now here is a bit of curiosity! Took the car to the college to visit a guy who is related to one of my old instructors. Long story short the C4 ends up on their dyno.

The car made 337hp! What the hell? I can understand that it was cooler than SAE conditions but with 46,000 miles on it and having sat for years that is a shocker!
Their dyno is cert'd and accurate. I have'nt even changed the opti or any standard tune up parts on the car yet. It has a pretty wicked miss at warm idle....

What mods have been done to the car? If it's missing when warm it could possibly be the injectors.

The car is absolute stock. Nothing has been changed to include it's basic tuneups. I know where my miss is coming from, it's just the fact that the power is over it's rating after nearly 50,000 miles and the lower temp being the only advantage over SAE conditions.

I'm not an LT1 guru but that sounds high for rwhp on a stock motor. I think that your "miss" might be the cam you're hearing

Definitely not stock. If your number are RWHP, they're probably 60 hp more than what a stock LT1 should dyno. I'm thinking heads/cam.

Have you owned the car since new? If not, how can you be so sure its not been modded?

no no guys! DOWN DOWN! Take it easy for one. This was done for the students to figure on. This is not RWHP! This is calculated(the lowest number) brake hp!

Damn boys relax! I'm no fool.....

Yes, I should have just explained things better instead of making the assumption that would be how it was seen. This is calculated brake power, the group that was doing this came up with some pretty high numbers this being the lowest and the majority. The whole point is that none of them were at the base power OR below!
lol, the smart *** comments are not needed guys. I know how this sounds, that's what made it worthy of posting. If the car came out with 285 BHP then it would have made sense and not have been worthy of mention.

P.S. Call all the B.S. you like. There is no sheet, just the laptop info. This was not an official anything, just fun for some folks.

also losses were considered from 16-22%
